Discussion and possible action to accept the recommendation from the Webb County Housing Rehabilitation Scoring Committee to approve the following Three (3) applicants to receive housing rehabilitation assistance under the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs- Office of Colonia Initiatives (TDHCA-OCI), Self-Help Center program and authorize the Purchasing Agent solicit bids. Housing Rehabilitation costs to be covered by Self-Help Center grant funds Texas Community Development Program (TCDP) contract #712003.

Issue: Commissioner's Court approval is required in order to solicit bids for these homes.

Solution: Place the Agenda Item in order to obtain Commissioner's Court authorization for the solicitation of bids by the Purchasing Agent.

Result: These home will be rehabilitated utilizing Grant funds.

Background:

The scoring committee met on October 15, 2015 to review these three (3) homes. The Committee voted to recommend these homes be presented to the Commissioner's Court for possible assistance under the Self-Help Center Rehabilitation Program.
