Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve the Notice of Award (NOA) for year Three (3), SAMHSA Grant #TI-026095, for the County Court at Law II DWI Court Program in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000) for fiscal period September 30, 2017 through September 29, 2018. The grant is its final year of operation. There will be no impact to the general fund. [Fund #2356]

Issue: It is necessary to have all awarded grant allowances by our Commissioner's Court

Solution: Commissioner's Court approve the grant allowances for year three (3) of the DWI Court Program SAMHSA Grant. The award has previously been reviewed and approved by Economic Development in accordance to the Webb County Single Point of Contact.

Result: The DWI Court program will continue to be able to administer effective substance abuse treatment for all its qualified participants.

Background:

The DWI Court Program has had two (2) Notices of Awards (NOAs) previously approved by our Commissioner's Court for years one (1) and two (2) of the SAMHSA Grant.
