Issue: Grant fund 2354 has a fiscal year of September 30, 2016 - September 29, 2017. However, the Financial System utilized by Webb County reflects Fund 2354 has a fiscal year of August 1, 2016 - July 31, 2017, which is incorrect. Consequently, the remaining amount of $117,066.82 cannot be disbursed for the remaining months (August and September) until the fiscal year reflected on the data base is modified to reflect the correct fiscal year dates.
Solution: Approve and modify the Financial System to reflect the correct fiscal year dates to allow remaining funds to be disbursed adequately as indicated for the remainder months of service.
Result: Approval through Commissioners Court as per approved Agenda Item No. 47 (f) approved February 27, 2017, that any and all budget amendments that may arise from grant-funded activity shall be conducted only by the budget officers. |
