Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for Invitation to bid for law enforcement uniforms for the Webb County Sheriff's Office to complete the required annual purchase of uniforms for all peace officers and jailers under the collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Issue: CBA requires annual purchase or law enforcement uniforms for all CBA members.

Solution: Advertise for Bids to seek out competitive pricing on bulk purchase. Total cost will exceed $100,000.00

Result: Secure bids for purchase of law enforcement uniforms for CBA members.

Background:

Annually CBA agreement requires Webb County to purchase law enforcement uniforms for all peace officers and jailers under the Sheriff's Office.

Purchase will exceed $100,000.00. The Purchasing Agent is requesting permission to advertise for competitive bids.
