Issue: Effective September 1, 2019, the Justice Court Technology Fund can be used to pay for salaries. Our civil department needs part-time assistance to help with civil filings, we average 30 new filings a day, sometimes this is a larger daily number. We are humbly requesting carry over a budget of $14,941.79 to the 2021 FY. These funds were previously approved by Commissioner's Court on 09-14-20. We need, Governing Body to approve rollover funds from FY 2020 to FY2021.

Solution: Submit a budget amendment to the Governing Body that clearly lists and defines the categories of part-time expenditure.

Result: JP 2.1 can provide customer's critical timely services for civil filings.
