Discussion and possible action to approve the 2021 Formula Grant Indigent Defense Resolution. The purpose of the grant is to develop and maintain quality, cost effective defense system that meets the needs of local communities and the requirements of the constitution and state laws. Webb County will be eligible to receive a portion of the funding. There is no impact on the general fund.

Background:

Webb County has been receiving funding from the Texas Commission on Indigent Defense for a number of years. At least from my 17 years tenure with this department,
