Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of slots #2754 and #0254 as well as any remaining vacant slot created by promoting from within, subject to the availability of payroll funds and applicable Civil Service guidelines, as well as any and all Wage Plan Policies, effective October 25, 2021:

Issue: Slots #0254 and #2754 became vacant on October 1, 2021. Slot #0254 will be filled from within, thus, leaving an Assistant Public Defender II slot vacant.

Solution: Request is being made to post and fill the vacant Assistant Public Defender II slot (#2754), promote an employee to the vacant Supervising Attorney slot (#0254), and to fill the remaining vacant Assistant Public Defender II slot.

Result: This action will allow our department to promote from within and fill the remaining vacant slots, and will allow us to continue to function efficiently and effectively.
