Discussion and possible action to accept award Contract for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARP Act) from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2021 in the amount of ($1,774,568.00) ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY EIGHT THOUSAND and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This Contract shall commence on October 1, 2021 and, shall end on September 30, 2022. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund. Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development Department and is compliant with SPOC policies and procedures. Issue: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Webb County Community Action Agency the amount of $1,774,568.00 under the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program for the program year 2021.

Solution: The court approval will allow the Webb County Community Action Agency provide direct services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County under the CEAP program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 8 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption.
