Discussion and possible action to approve the following budget amendment to allow carry-over of Contract Number #06HE00072901 American Rescue Plan and Consolidated Appropriations Act for the Head Start program ($1,870,150.87) in grant balances for Head Start CRRSA Act and ARP Fund account #2358-5150-330300-030 into 2021-2022.Contract commenced on April 1,2021 and shall end on March 31, 2023. This carryover balance will not require a County Match. [Requested by Aliza Oliveros, Head Start Director]

Issue: Year end balances must be carried over and entered into the New World in order to continue the availability of these grant funds. American Rescue Plan and Consolidated Appropriations Act.

Solution: Approval of budget allowing for carryover of year-end balances for Head Start.

Result: Continued availability of grant funds.
