AUTHORIZE PURCHASING AGENT TO REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPRAISER AND LAND APPRAISER

Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for an Appraiser to conduct a "Yellow Book" commercial appraisal, and a Land Planner to provide supporting documentation to the Appraiser for properties: Casa Blanca Golf Course and Lake Casa Blanca State Park in Laredo, Texas, County of Webb; and have the County Judge sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Texas Department of Transportation needs to purchase land for Webb County in order to widen the highway along the Casa Blanca Golf Course and Lake Casa Blanca State Park. This land falls under Federal 6(F) guidelines.

Solution: Appraising of lands will ensure that they are "Yellow Book" appraised and will meet standards contained in the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisition.

Result: Ensure that the Federal investments in Section 6(F) Land and Water Conservation Fund Act (LWCF) assistance are being maintained.
