Discussion and possible action to ratify the acceptance of an award and enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Emergency Community Water Assistance Grant in the amount of $935,000.00 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This grant does not include any county match.

Issue: This grant will provide Webb County with reimbursement of funds incurred with hauling water to the La Presa and Colorado Acres water dispenser.

Solution: Accept award and execute contract.

Result: Webb County will receive reimbursement for activities.

9/12/2022 - Discussion and possible action to authorize the Economic Development Department to develop and submit a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA RD) Emergency Community Water Assistance Grant application for up to $1,000,000.00 for reimbursement on expenses made to haul water to Colonia La Presa and Highway 59 Colonias Group; approving a resolution for authorization of grant submission to USDA RD; and authorizing the County Judge to act as the Authorized Representative in all matters pertaining to the County's request. This application does not require match.
