Discussion and possible action to accept the award and enter into an agreement with the Texas Office of the Governor - Criminal Justice Division (CJD) DC - Specialty Courts Program Grant No. 444810, in the amount of ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR DOLLARS ($188,774.00) beginning September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023, for the Webb County Adult Drug Court Program, and authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. There is no cash/in-kind match required, therefore there is no financial impact to the general fund. All required documents were sent for review to the Economic Development Department and the acceptance of the grant award is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Issue: Notice of Award from the Office of the Governor for the Adult Drug Court Program was received on October 6, 2022, acceptance by Commissioners Court is required to activate grant funding.

Solution: Accept the Notice of Award to proceed with additional treatment services provided to eligible participants of the Drug Court Program.

Result: If accepted, funding will provide additional treatment services to eligible Drug Court participants.
