Discussion and possible action to adopt a Resolution designating the County Judge as the Authorized Official for purposes of the 2022 Formula Grant Indigent Defense. The purpose of the grant is to develop and maintain quality, cost effective defense system that meets the needs of local communities and the requirements of the constitution and state laws. Webb County will be eligible to receive a portion of the funding. This is a yearly on-going grant resolution. There will no impact on the general fund.

Background:

Webb County has been receiving funding from the Texas Commission on Indigent Defense for over 16 years.
