Discussion and possible action to authorize the Webb County Commissioners Court to pass a Resolution designating the Honorable Tano E. Tijerina, Webb County Judge and the Honorable Rosaura "Wawi" Tijerina, Webb County Commissioner Precinct 2, as Depository/Authorized Signatories for draw requests for Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Self-Help Center Program, Contract Number CSHC-23-0520. This Resolution will have no impact to the General Fund.

Issue: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs requires the Commissioner's Court to designate two authorized signatories by resolution for all reimbursement requests related to the Self-Help Center Program.

Solution: Pass a resolution that will designate two individuals as authorized signatories for the Self-Help Center Contract CSHC-23-0520 as required by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.

Result: Webb County will be in compliance with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs grant requirements.

Background:

The Self-Help Center Grant Program has been funded since 1998. Activities funded through the Self-Help Center Grant include housing rehabilitation, housing reconstruction, new construction, tool lending library, solid waste clean up campaigns and technology access computer lab.
