Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit request for proposals for “Colorado Acres New Non-Coin Dispenser Units” for replacement of existing Coin operated Dispensing Unit Stations at Colorado Acres (Las Lomas) with newly constructed water points complete with new dispensing panels and software that do not require coins for operation.

Background:

Staff recommends proceeding with requesting of proposals for replacing existing Coin operated Dispensing Unit stations at Colorado Acres (Las Lomas) with newly constructed water points complete with new dispensing panels and software that do not require coins or cards for operation.

These specifications will include the physical enclosure, dispensing tree, and all panels and software to provide independent accounts to customers using the Colorado Acres Bulk Water Dispensing Unit. This improvement will provide for multiple accounts with multiple charging rates as necessary. This system will allow for prepayment or post payment based on customers account status. These specifications will be for the installation of two (2) separate filling bays with same enclosure. Estimated cost of the project is $88,500.00.
