Discussion and possible action to authorize a professional service agreement with Laredo Medical Center for general care and treatment of Webb County Jail inmates in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.024 (Discretionary Exemptions) (4) personal or professional services, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Background:

The Webb County Sheriff's Office currently spends on average over $50,000.00 with Laredo Medical Center (LMC). Our Community only has two major Hospitals and it is recommended to secure a professional service agreement with both LMC and Doctors Hospital.

Laredo Medical Center is your community healthcare provider; a 326-bed, acute care facility with over 49 specialties and subspecialties, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, urology, wound care, emergency medicine and bariatrics.
