Discussion and possible action to review and adopt the Webb County Fraud Policy, and any other matters incident. [Requested by Rafael Perez, Auditor]

Issue: The County's external auditors have recommended in their Letter to Management for the County to establish and adopt a formal fraud policy.

Solution: Commissioners Court adopts formal fraud policy.

Result: Webb County will have a formal fraud policy to implement in conjunction with the County's fraud hotline.

Background:

Although State law and County personnel polices prohibit fraud, the County does not have a formal fraud policy in place to establish the government's plans to deter, prevent and detect the occurrence of fraud.
