Discussion and possible action to adjust pay rates for County Court-at-Law II DWI Court Program Staff associated with SAMHSA Grant Award Number 1H79TI081049-01 (TI-18-008) and request County Judge to execute all other matters incident thereto. The Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget includes a one-step increase in the salary for the Project Director slot, and salary with one-step increase for the Case Manager slot. Both of these positions do not fall under the County’s Wage Plan, and are funded 100% by grant funds. Both positions are also subject to annual evaluations by the Department Head, and are entitled to additional increases under the grant. There will be no impact to the General Fund.

Issue: These proposed salaries are reflected under the SAMHSA grant in County Court-at-Law 2 (TI-18-008). The Director slot is receiving a step increase in salary, and the Case Manager slot is salary and one-step increase.

Solution: The project respectfully requests approval on salary adjustments.

Result: Both positions will be fully operational to continue to layout DWI Court day to day operations.
