Discussion and possible action to approve the 2022 Formula Grant Indigent Defense Resolution. The purpose of the grant is to develop and maintain quality, cost-effective defense system that meets the needs of local communities and the requirements of the constitution and state law. Webb County will be eligible to receive a portion of the funding. This is a yearly on-going grant resolution. There will be no impact to the general fund.

Background:

Webb County has been receiving funding from the Texas Indigent Defense Commission for a number of years, at least from my 16 years tenure wit this department.
