Discussion and possible action to correct the appoint/re-appoint the Civil Service Commissioners that was approved on November 14, 2022 under Item 21, for a Two – year term, commencing January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2025 to January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024 and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue:
The term for each Civil Service Commissioner is two years and due to a clerical error the date of 2025 was used instead of 2024.
Solution:
Correct the appointment term to January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024 in conformance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations for the appointment of a Commissioner for 2 years.
Result:
The appointment or re-appointment of the commissioners will insure smooth and efficiently run commission, and will provide good continuity for such an important function.
