Discussion and possible action to award and enter into agreement with Neighborworks Laredo for the Non-Governmental Organizations ARPA Sub-Award in the amount of $500,000.00; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters thereto. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters thereto. No impact to the general fund. Issue: NGO ARPA has surplus funds available from the NGO line-item balance and additional; revenue replacement ARPA funds. Solution: To approve award and enter into agreement with the Neighborworks Laredo. Result: NGO ARPA funds will allow Neighborworks Laredo to construct infrastructure and other improvements for the Three Points Village 24 project.
Background:
On March 10, 2021 the U.S. Senate passed The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and obtained the President’s signature. Webb County has been awarded $53,600,000.00 from the US Department of Treasury for The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and sub awards are eligible.
Previous Court Action:
On February 14, 2022, Commissioner’s Court awarded 10 organizations for the Non-Governmental Organizations ARPA Sub-Award.
