Subject:
Discussion and possible action to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between Webb County Sheriff's Office and the Southern District of Texas (79), United States Marshals Services; Project JLEOTFS4 for overtime expenses for performance period October 3, 2015 through September 30, 2016 for an amount not to exceed $12,000.00 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. [Cash match will be covered by Fund 168 (State Forfeiture Fund)]

Issue: Collaboration between Federal,State and local law enforcement agencies is necessary to pursue and dismantle organized crime organizations along the Texas border and within our Community.

Solution: Accept Federal assistance to continue local participation in USMS investigations, strategic initiatives and prosecution of organized crime.

Result: Disruption of organized crime activity along the Texas border and in Webb County; prosecution of individuals responsible for organized crime.
Background:
Collaboration between Federal,State and local law enforcement agencies is necessary to pursue and dismantle organized crime organizations along the Texas border and within our Community.  Webb County Sheriff's Office has over the past several years continued to participate in these MOUs with different federal agencies in order to assist with the disruption of organized crime activity along the Texas border and in Webb County.

Approval of OT agreements with DEA and ICE.
