Discussion with possible action to award Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2021-003 “Self Help Center - Housing Rehabilitation Program Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Contract No. 7216013” to sole bidder, Romo Contractors for the rehabilitation of one (1) home located at 7379 Adelita Rd., Colonia San Carlos, Webb County, Texas in an amount not to exceed Fifty Three Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($53,920.00) and to further authorize the County Judge to execute the construction contract for awarded sum between Webb County and Romo Contractors and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The housing rehabilitation repairs will include repairs and/or replacement of roofs, doors, floors, insulation, windows, plumbing, electrical, paint, HVAC, drywall and general health and safety and/or energy efficient improvements as needed to comply with Texas Minimum Construction Standards and 2015 International Residential Code as applicable. This home qualified for rehabilitation under the TDHCA program grant awarded to Webb County.

Solution: Award bid solicitation to lowest responsible and sole bidder, Romo Contractors.

Result: Authorize legal to execute construction contract for awarded amount sum and in compliance with TDHCA rules and regulations.
