Updating of signature cards by counties depository

Subject:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the County Treasurer to request in writing an update of signature cards by County’s Depository, Falcon International Bank, as per Primary Depository Contract § 2.3 Accounts; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Signature cards require update of the Authorized County Representative(s), effective January 1, 2021, for 10 out of the 12 demand deposit accounts maintained for the Tax Assessor Collector and listed on the contract as accounts “o” through “z”. Accounts “o” and “x” will be closed effective December 31, 2020. Please see attached files. Tax Assessor Collector-elect Patricia A. Barrera will take office on January 1, 2021 and is not listed on the designated depository bank signature cards.

Solution: As per bank contract request in writing that new elected official and designees execute a new signature card and that the current signature card on file be void at end of business on December 31, 2020.

Result: Tax Assessor Collector elect will be able to conduct depository business starting on January 1, 2021.
