Discussion and possible action to grant Preliminary and Final Plat Approval to Gateway Unit 1 Subdivision Plat being a 398.4064 acre tract out of a 552.68 acre tract of land out of Abstract 831, Survey 361 as described in Vol. 5183, Pgs. 284-302 of the Webb County Deed Records and grant a waiver from Section IX.2 of the Subdivision Regulations which call for cross streets at 1,500 feet and a maximum length of 1,000 feet for dead end streets.  Planning staff recommends approval.
Background:
Item is a regulatory compliance matter with development provisions of state and local laws/regulations.  The purpose is to plat 398 acres, more or less, into a commercial tract that is located off Interstate Highway 35, approximately 15 miles North of Loop 20.  A Letter of Credit has been secured for the proposed public improvements.  The design for the proposed improvements and costs estimates for the Letter of Credit have been approved by the Webb County Engineering and Road & Bridge Departments.
