Subject:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Requests for Proposal for Water and Wastewater System Warehouse and Shop.

Issue: Currently the Utilities Department does not have a location to store emergency inventory items such as pipes, valves, meters, tools, safety equipment and repair or replacement supplies. In addition, there is no facility where employees maintain and repair equipment with the use of tools such as compressors and welding equipment.

Solution: By installing a pre-engineered metal building tools and equipment can be used and stored safely. In addition, this will provide us with a secured area to inventory equipment and supplies drastically needed for our repair and emergency response.

Result: Installation of Metal building on the grounds of the Water Treatment Plant in Rio Bravo. Secured facilities for supplies such as safety equipment.

20” by 50 Ft. Canopy Structure for equipment storage
