Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve submitting the application for participation in the Superior Health Care provider network. The Meals on Wheels program will continue contract rate of $5.30 per unit. The contract will become effective March 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017.

Background:

STAR+PLUS integrates acute care and community -based long-term care services to achieve a seamless continuum of care for members. Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) are responsible for coordinating these services through a service coordinator - Superior Health Care.

The network has updated the network ICD-10 codes to allow diagnosis codes for reimbursement of claims.

Previous Court Action:

The previous action taken was to approve the participation in the Superior Health Care provider network. The network provides additional participants to receive home-delivered meals.
