Discussion and possible action to accept grant contract #58160002358 award for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2016. Contract Start Date - January 1, 2016 to Contract end date December 31, 2016, in the amount of ONE MILLION ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY- FOUR DOLLARS ($1,100,174.00), and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. [Fund #911]

Issue: Approve grant contract award for the CEAP Program from TDHCA for PY- 2016 in the amount of $1,100,174.00.

Solution: The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) provides direct client services to eligible elderly, disabled and low income residents of Webb County.

Result: The services are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 8 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption. The CEAP allocation for contract #58160002358 is for Twelve months.

The Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA)-Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) provides direct client services to eligible elderly, disabled and low income residents of Webb County. The services are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 8 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption. The CEAP allocation for contract # 58160002358 is for twelve months.

Previous Court Action:

The Commissioner's Court approved on January 26, 2015, grant contract # 58150002139 award for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) for Program Year 2015 in the amount of $1,126,862.00.
