Discussion and possible action to enter into a weapon exchange program with Kirkpatrick Guns and Ammo for new department weapons at no cost to Webb County, in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code, Section 263.152 (Disposition)(A)(2) for the purpose of purchasing new service weapons, and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: A cache of forfeited weapons in our inventory that serve no purpose in a law enforcement capacity.

Solution: The exchange of forfeited weapons for three new rifles at no cost to the County or this Office.

Result: Use of these new weapons will be for official law enforcement purposes and with a lower risk of liability to the County.
