Discussion and possible action to apply for the FY 2021 - 2022 CARES Act Grant Round 2 for Webb County Community Action Agency from The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the amount of SIX HUNDRED THIRTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($632,328.00). This grant does NOT require a County Match. All required documentation has been submitted for review to the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. No impact to the General Fund. [Requested by James Flores, CAA Executive Director]

Issue: TxDOT has allotted monies as part of the COVID19 Emergency Relief Response in order to cover operational expenses, capital expenses and resilience projects at 100% for Webb County CAA- El Aguila Rural Transportation with NO County Match.

Solution: This grant is calculated to cover expenses for CAA El Aguila from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022.

Result: Continuation of transportation services throughout the rural areas of Webb County allowing for safe and reliable response to the transportation needs of rural Webb County during the on going COVID-19 pandemic.
