Issue:
The Bruni Public Health Facility has been completed but is pending to be furnished and equipped so that services can begin to be provided by community partners.
Solution:
Chapter 288 of the Texas Health & Safety Code limits the use of the Local Provider Participation Funds but does authorize its use to subsidize indigent programs. The purpose of this facility is to increase access to medical care in a medically underserved community.
Result:
Items needed to fully furnish this facility can be purchased so that it can be available to community partners to provide services to area residents.
