Discussion and possible action to approve grant award to Contract #58220003600 for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2022, in the amount of ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY- EIGHT THOUSAND FORTY-NINE DOLLARS ($1,728,049.00) and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This Contract shall commence on January 01, 2022 and, unless earlier terminated, shall end on December 31, 2022. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Issue: TDHCA funding agency has awarded Webb County Community Action agency (WCCAA) $1,728,049.00 under the program grant Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) for the Program Year 2022.

Solution: The court approval will allow Webb County Community Action Agency to provide direct services to eligible low-income residents for Webb County under the CEAP program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 8 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption.
