Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Requests for Qualifications (RFQ's) for Civil Engineering services to do a roadway speed study for the installation of speed humps in the City of Oilton Texas, pursuant to the Professional Services Act and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Oilton City residents have voiced concerns regarding automobiles speeding in the area on all sides of the park along the following county roads: Mackin Avenue, Welhausen Road, Jim Neal Avenue and Torrecillas Road.

Solution: Approval of agenda item to proceed with the future installation of speed humps around the City of Oilton Park and Baseball Field area.

Result: Safe roads for the residents of the City of Oilton Texas and surrounding areas.

Background:

Agenda on July 10, 2023 to authorize the Civil Legal Department to research and present legal options and process for the installation of speed humps within the county of Webb.
