Discussion and possible action to approve Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation's Supplemental Work Authorization No. 3 to Work Authorization No. 1 for the Loop 20 Main Lanes and Frontage Roads Sta. 554+00 to just North of Loop 20/US 59 overpass (Texas Department of Transportation CSJ: 0086-14-058) (Loop 20 Extension) to reflect additions to scope of work that include signage and design of bicycle lanes. Additionally, and addition of four plots of land will be surveyed. These additions in the scope of work will have a net change effect of approximately $52,000.00 of which 100% will be reimbursed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), subject to their approval; and have the County Judge sign all relevant documents. Issue: Design of bicycle lanes and placement of signage was not included in original scope of work of contract.

Solution: Add scope of work activities to include design of bicycle lanes and placement of signage.

Result: The inclusion of bicycle lanes and appropriate signage as part of the design plans of what is to become US HWY- 59 will support our efforts to become a cyclist-friendly community.
