Discussion and possible action to authorize and establish the main, temporary branch, and temporary mobile branch early voting polling sites for the May 24, 2016 Joint Democratic and Republican primary runoff elections within Webb County, Texas, pursuant to Chapter 85, Texas Election Code.

Background:

THREE RACES IN THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY AND THREE RACES IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY WILL CONTINUE ONTO RUNOFF ELECTIONS AS NONE OF THE CANDIDATES INVOLVED IN THESE RACES RECEIVED OVER THE REQUIRED 50 PERCENT OF THE VOTES CAST.

Previous Court Action:

THE COMMISSIONERS COURT HAD PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED AND ESTABLISHED THE EARLY VOTING SITES FOR THE JOINT PRIMARY ELECTIONS IN ITS REGULAR MEETINGS OF JANUARY 11, 2016 AND JANUARY 25, 2016.
