Presentation by Architectural firms that responded to RFQ 2015-03 "Architectural Services for the redesign of the Casa Blanca Golf Course" with discussion and possible action to select a qualified firm, authorize county staff to negotiate with successful proposer and to authorize the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. [Requested by Joe Lopez, Purchasing Agent]

Issue: RFQ 2015-03 is pending final selection of a qualified firm. 6 firms submitted proposals for consideration.

Solution: Interview firms to make a selection based on criteria from RFQ publication.

Result: Proceed in finalizing a formal contract with successful proposer to begin the design process for the Casa Blanca Golf Course project.

Background:

On July 30, 2015, Webb County received 6 formal solicitations from architectural firms interested in the redesign project for Casa Blanca Golf Course. Due to future infrastructure improvements along loop 20 by TXDOT; the acreage at golf course will be reduced to allow the State to make the needed improvements. Redesigning the golf course will help revitalize the course to meet the needs of the golfing community and will enhance the quality of life for Webb County citizens.
