Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of Twenty (20) Dell Laptops and Twenty (20) Microsoft Licenses from Dell and SHI to continue the e-filing process for all civil, family and criminal cases pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 271.102, Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing program DIR-TSO-3763 and DIR-TSO-4092 respectively in the amount of Thirty-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-One Dollars and Zero cents ($39,491.00). Issue: With news of COVID-19 rapidly changing, there is a possibility of employees needing to work from home and at this time, the department is not equipped with the proper tools to do so

Solution: The purchase of laptops will allow employees to work from home, if necessary.

Result: Working from home, the department will still be able to assist the courts and attorneys with the E-Filing process.
