Discussion and possible action to authorize the reclassification of the following slot, job title and modified job description and an increase in pay in the amount not to exceed $2,523.00, within the Webb County Constables Office Pct. 3; subject to approval by civil service commission and any applicable civil service guidelines, and any other matters incident thereto, effective April 1, 2021. Issue: Slot #2858, currently classified as a Deputy Constable, needs a reclassification to Lieutenant in order to allow the Constables Pct. 3 office to supervise current Deputy Constables, reserves, and future Sergeants.

Solution: The reclassification of Slot #2858 to a Lieutenant position will allow this position to cross train in all areas and will oversee all employees meet the certifications standards required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Result: The Lieutenant will ensure all training qualifications/re-qualifications for the department deputies/employees meet the requirements of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
