Discussion and possible action to reject Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2021-005 Quad City Fire Station Renovations submitted by sole bidder Tri-Gen Construction, LLC for a base bid of $214,351.00 including alternate bid #1 for $5,500.00 and alternate bid #2 for $2,000.00 and to further authorize the Purchasing Agent to resolicit ITB and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: The sole bidders bid proposal exceeds the Project Architects estimated construction cost budget by approximately $93,350.00. In addition, the bid proposal lacks the required unit pricing form breaking down the bid amount proposed.

Solution: Consider the recommendation to reject bid and authorize the Purchasing Agent to resolicit if the Commissioners Court deems necessary.

Result: Depending on final Court action, the Purchasing Agent will initiate any directive from the Court that involves further procurement action.
