Discussion and possible action to authorize the ratification of acceptance of the Self-Help Center Contract #7220013 grant award in the amount of $700,000 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, and designating the Webb County Judge as the authorized official to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and were found to be in compliance with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy. [Requested by Community Action Agency]

Issue: A resolution was passed by the Commissioners Court on May 26, 2020 authorizing the submission of the grant proposal and appointing the Webb County Judge as the authorized signatory for all relevant contract documents. The County Auditor's office is requesting an agenda item in addition to the Resolution ratifying the acceptance of this grant award.

Solution: Approve the ratification of acceptance of the Self-Help Center Grant, Contract #7220013.

Result: Self-Help Center Grant funds will be available to continue assistance through this grant.

Background:
