Termination of Contracts for Annual Bid 2022-004 Flexible Base & Road Construction Materials

Discussion and possible action to terminate the annual contracts listed below for convenience pursuant to section eleven (11) of respective annual contracts for Bid No. 2022-04 "Flexible Base & Road Construction Materials" and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Due to increased fuel prices the vendor with the lowest fixed pricing can no longer provide the services needed by Road and Bridge Department. The remaining annual contractors fixed pricing exceeds budgetary limits to finish up the orders for the current fiscal year.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to notify all vendors awarded Bids for Flexible Base and Road Construction Materials in accordance with section eleven (11) Termination for Convenience also known as a no-fault termination.

Result: Purchasing Agent will notify all vendors under this Bid award in accordance with contract notification requirements. New bids will be published if authorized by Commissioners Court.
