Discussion and possible action to adjust pay rates for the Webb County Community Action Agency Self-Help Center Program staff. The new pay rate will reflect a 14% salary adjustment effective March 27, 2023. The salary adjustments will be paid with 100% grant funds for a two-year contract period; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. This Agenda Item was submitted for review to the Economic Development Department as required under the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Procedures.

Issue: Self-Help Center staff current pay rates are lower than comparable positions with similar work loads. The low pay rates create difficulty in filling and/or retaining qualified personnel, hindering the Program's stability.

Solution: Approval of requested pay rate adjustments for Self-Help Center Program staff.

Result: The Webb County Community Action Agency Self-Help Center Program staff pay rates will be comparable to similar job positions increasing the ability to retain skilled staff.
