Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve Amendment #1 for the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) to Contract Number #34210003698 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for FY-2021, this Amendment will amend 1) Section 2, CONTRACT TERM, of this Contract and delete and replace the following Subsections and exhibits: 2) Subsection D. 7 of Section 4, Department Financial Obligations; Subsection D. Section 5, Method of Payment/Cash Balances; Subsection C. of Section 10 Reporting requirements C. Final Reports Exhibit B Performance Statement; and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund.

Issue: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded an Amendment #1 to Contract Number # 34210003698 under the (LIHWAP) Program.

Solution: The court approval will allow Webb County CAA to provide emergency assistance to low-income households of Webb County under the LIHWAP Program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with prevention and disconnection of services.
