Discussion and possible action to approve Amendment No.1 for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Emergency (CEAP) Contract Number #58240004040 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) FY-2024. This amendment is a grant increase from $1,217,627.00 to $2,029,483.00, for a total increase of EIGHT HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY SIX DOLLARS ($811,856.00) and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents for request and approval of contract amendment. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund. All required documents were sent for review through Economic Development and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County single point of contact (SPOC) procedures. [Account #2362-5360-521]

Issue: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Amendment No. 1 to Contract Number #58240004040 under the (CEAP) Program.

Solution: The court approval will allow Webb County CAA to continue providing emergency assistance to low-income households in Webb County under the CEAP program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents meet their immediate household energy needs.
