Discussion and possible action to authorize the submission of a supplemental application to the Southwest Border Anti-Money Laundering Alliance for additional funding estimated at $200,000.00, increasing current grant award from $3,347,860.00 to $3,547,860.00 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. [Grant Fund 343]
Background:
The Sheriff's Office has been notified that additional funding is available for our anti- Money Laundering task force estimated at $200,000.00.  Currently in the State of Texas only three Anti-Money Laundering task force exist which are funded directly by the Alliance.  Webb County Sheriff's Office was the first task force created in Texas by Alliance to help fight criminal activity along the border area related to money laundering activities and related financial crimes.  

Sheriff's Office recommends approval of submission so we can continue to fund personnel and operations of financial task force.  No cash match is required.
