Discussion and possible action to approve the following seized items as County property and for use by the Webb County Sheriff's Office Financial Special Investigation Group (FSIG) for daily operations in accordance with Article 18.17 (Disposition of abandon or unclaimed property), Chapter 18 (Search Warrants) (g.) and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Property was recovered and seized by FSIG task force as a result of an investigation that led to arrest of individuals & seizure of assets.

Solution: Utilize seized assets for daily operations by FSIG investigators.

Result: Minimize operational expenditures for FSIG task force by using seized property for daily law enforcement operations.

Background:

Property was recovered and seized by FSIG task force as a result of an investigation that led to arrest of individuals & seizure of assets. Sheriff’s Office is recommending to utilize seized assets for daily operations by FSIG investigators. Therefore, minimizing operational expenditures for FSIG task force by using seized property for daily law enforcement operations.
