Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of Portable Radios from Motorola Solutions Inc., in the amount not to exceed $13,844.24 for Webb County Water Utilities; and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #7220-7280-001-474501 (Construction Services)]

Issue: Currently using cell phones to communicate with servicemen out in the field and calls go straight to voice mail or go into roaming.

Solution: Purchase of portable radios a better communication tool for emergencies and customer service.

Result: Utilizing this communication tool, utilities employees keep in contact among each other and the Main Office as they undertake their daily duties and deal with irate customers.
