Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of the following Slots, subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service guidelines, effective April 10, 2017:

Slot #	Title	Hourly Rate

1856	Food Transporter	$10.00 - 20 hours per week (no mileage claims)
1217	Food Transporter	$9.36 - 20 hours per week (per hour) up to $10.00
1216	Food Transporter	$9.36 - 20 hours per week

Issue: Slot #1856 is vacant. Driver will be using a county vehicle, so mileage claims will not be allowed. Slot #1217 is vacant. The slot can pay up to $10.00 per hour, 20 hours per week, but starting pay will be base $9.36 per hour. Slot #1216 is vacant. Rate change in the general order-to have all slots at the same rate of $9.36 per hour, 20 hours per week.

Solution: The request is being made to fill the vacant Food Transporter positions.

Result: The filling of slots will allow the Meals on Wheels program to effectively continue to provide home delivers meals to qualifying program consumers.
