Discussion and possible action to add the following no-cost budget items to the Community Outdoor Outreach Program (CO-OP) grant budget; and any other matters incident thereto. Budget items to be added: Large shade canopy (with weights), small shade canopy (with weights), outdoor mesh chairs, mental supply wagons, fabric supply wagons, outdoor slim-fold outdoor cook station, carry bags, flashlights, duck tape, flare gun with flares, roadside assistance kit, 2 ton floor jack, snake bite kit, hitches, nylon rope, BBQ pit, security locks, pellet rifles, targets, pellets, air rifles, insect repellent, hammocks, multi-tool knives, and knife sharpener for use on outdoor recreational trips to state parks by the children/youth of Laredo/Webb County. The Webb County Sheriff's Office received verification by the grant funding agency that these items are allowable expenses once the budget amendment is approved; and, this neither increases nor decreases the grant budget in any manner. Furthermore, this grant does not require a cash match; and, thus, will have no impact to the general fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures.
