Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve the retirement of K9 Hanna, and to return said K9 to previous owner Constable Adrian Cortez, and authorize the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matter incident thereto.

Issue: K9 Hanna has reached the recommended retirement age of 7 years old, she is showing signs of aging. Hanna has honorably served our department since April 25, 2016.

Solution: Retire K9 to allow for a replacement.

Result: Department will have a young and more energetic K9. K9 Hanna will retire after serving 4 years with Constable Pct. 2.
